Hours
- Seasonal position: April - December
- Mon - Fri 6am - 4pm, some Saturdays
Duties:
- Prepare asphalt surfaces by cleaning debris, blowing dust, and removing oil spots
- Fill cracks and repair minor surface damage before sealcoating
- Mix and load sealcoat materials according to manufacturer specifications
- Apply sealcoat using spray systems, squeegees, or brushes
- Ensure even, smooth coverage and proper thickness
- Block off work areas with cones and safety signs
- Maintain tools, hoses, tanks, and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (preferred but not always required)
- Experience in asphalt, paving, or construction (preferred)
- Ability to operate sealcoating equipment and hand tools
- Knowledge of basic asphalt repair techniques
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license (CDL may be required for some employers)
