Keep our school shining - O†Gorman High School is seeking a dedicated Custodian to make a difference in the lives of our students by providing a clean and safe environment.

Starting rate is $17.20/hr without experience and can increase based on relevant experience.
Schedule/Location:
O†Gorman High School
Hours:
School Year: (mid August-mid May) 3:15 PM-11:45 PM
Summer: (mid May-mid August) 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Promote the mission of Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools
- Clean all areas in one academic wing of he building:
- Classrooms
- Hallways
- Lockers
- Stairs
- Entry Way
- Bathrooms (if applicable)
- Workroom (if applicable)
- Additional areas throughout the building will be assigned for routine cleaning (ex. weight room, foyer, band room, etc.)
- Assist with cleaning before, during, and after evening activities and events
- Assist with snow removal on campus as necessary
- Perform minor facility repairs
- Perform routine tasks (ex. door lockup, launder cleaning supplies, refill dispensers, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Summer:
- Work as a custodial team to complete a deap clean throughout the building as assigned
- Floor waxing
- Painting
- Carpet cleaningShampoo Carpets (usually in the summer)
- Perform other dutues as assigned
Qualifications:

- Knowledge and skills in cleaning supplies and equipment, inventory control and time management

- Ability to climb ladders, lift at least 50-80 lbs., and operate heavy machinery

Physical Demands:
- Ability to work daytime hours, primarily Monday-Friday
- Clarity of vision
- Ability to speak English clearly
- Ability to hear and distinguish sounds, including speech, alarms and other work environment sounds
- Fine hand motor skills to include and not limited to keyboarding, writing, grasping, holding, and repetitive motion
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk through work day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to intermittently bend, squat, and reach overhead
