Position Overview

Renovation and Restoration crew members perform tasks involving physical labor for renovation and construction projects, emergency services, and demolition. They may operate various equipment, including hand and power tools such as skill saws, drills, table saws, and chop saws.

Crew members may clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support walls and ceilings, erect scaffolding, clean rubble and debris, and assist lead carpenters with construction services.

Employees must have good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and balance. They must be able to read warning signs, plans, drawings, instructions, and specifications, and be capable of climbing ladders and working at heights.

Hours

Typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

Occasionally, work may require earlier start times, later finish times, weekend work, or travel, depending on project needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe job site

  • Maintenance and cleaning of equipment

  • Update the production supervisor on project changes

  • Assist with emergency services and after-hours work if needed

  • Replace bathroom and kitchen fixtures and faucets

  • Replace associated piping and accessories connected to fixtures

  • Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities

  • Prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards

  • Load, unload, and distribute building materials and tools

  • Assist equipment operators, carpenters, and skilled labor when necessary

  • Perform some basic electrical work

  • Assist with manual labor as directed by the Crew Leader or Project Manager

  • Assemble and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding

  • Perform daily job site clean-up

  • Assist with tile installation

  • Perform basic carpentry

  • Install bath accessories

  • Install door hardware

  • Complete tasks on time or communicate delays to management

  • Support excellent customer service

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to follow written production work orders and procedures

  • Ability to perform facility janitorial work if requested

  • Ability to complete duties within reasonable timeframes

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Clean driving record required

  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, but not required

Safety and Compliance

  • Observe all company safety policies

  • Adhere to utilizing all PPE as required

Physical Requirements

  • Must lift heavy items up to 75 lbs regularly

  • Work with cleaning agents, paint, sealers, and restoration products

  • Use PPE, including gloves, respirators, and safety goggles, when required

  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights

  • Ability to work in contaminated environments when necessary

  • Prolonged standing and walking

  • Frequent bending and stooping

  • Ability to read a tape measure

Position Requirements

  • Report to work before 7:30 AM and be ready to start at 7:30 AM

  • Start time may change depending on project requirements

  • One-hour unpaid lunch break after four hours of work

  • Company vans leave at scheduled times and may leave without late employees

  • Must wear the company uniform at all times

  • No personal cell phone use on job sites except in emergencies
