Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with a passion for culinary excellence and team leadership. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, safety, and customer service are maintained while fostering a positive and efficient kitchen atmosphere.

Duties

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Manage food preparation and cooking processes to deliver high-quality dishes consistently.
  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels to minimize waste.
  • Train, develop, and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food handling, and customer service best practices.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control measures to optimize kitchen performance.
  • Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for order processing and cash handling.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new kitchen staff as needed.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Experience

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar supervisory role within the food industry.
  • Strong culinary skills with experience in fine dining, casual dining, quick service, or fast food environments.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and budgeting practices.
  • Background in hospitality management or restaurant management is preferred.
  • Experience with staff training and development, including shift management and team leadership.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
  • Previous experience in catering or banquet services is a plus.
