Kahill’s Chophouse, located in South Sioux City, NE, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations of both Kahill’s Chophouse dining room and the banquet/event operations at the South Sioux City Marriott Riverfront. The right candidate will bring warmth, professionalism, and a genuine love for hospitality — creating an environment where guests feel celebrated, and the team feels inspired.
Responsibilities
Upscale dining room management of Kahill’s Chophouse
Bring business initiatives to life on the floor: by communicating them with clarity, enthusiasm, and purpose
Partner closely with the Culinary Team: to bring consistency, creativity, and excellence to every plate and every event
Cultivate genuine, lasting connections with our business clients, team members, and partners: ensuring every relationship reflects the hospitality and standards Kahill’s is known for
Foster a culture of continuous learning: by keeping the team engaged with evolving industry trends, techniques, and innovation
Ensure every team member possesses deep, confident knowledge: of our menu, beverage program, and facility — because an informed team creates an exceptional guest experience
Set the standard for quality and guest satisfaction: ensuring every team member is thoroughly trained on service standards and equipped with the tools they need to perform at their very best
Coach and inspire the service team: to confidently tell the story behind our wine selections and food offerings, creating a memorable and immersive guest experience
Manage the beer, liquor, and wine program: with a keen eye for cost controls, ordering, vendor relationships, and restaurant invoice reconciliation
Build and nurture a positive work atmosphere: where teamwork thrives, energy is contagious, and every shift feels like a shared success
- Lead the full team member journey: from interviews and hiring through training and ongoing development — with care, intention, and high standards
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry: with a proven track record in a management role
Well-versed in beer, liquor, and wine: with a storyteller’s ability to bring each selection to life for both guests and team members
Naturally detail-oriented: ensuring nothing slips through the cracks — from the guest experience to back-of-house operations
A natural leader: who knows how to bring out the best in people and build a team that grows stronger every day
Communicates with clarity, warmth, and professionalism: whether on the floor with guests or in the back office with the management team
Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend, and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout the shift
Must be able to work extended shifts if necessary
Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts
