Job Description
A nursing home housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents by cleaning rooms, common areas, and restrooms. Key duties include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, disposing of waste, and restocking supplies. This role is critical for preventing the spread of infection and ensuring resident comfort.
A nursing home laundry aide collects, washes, dries, folds, and distributes linens and residents' personal clothing, while also performing basic mending and ensuring hygiene standards are met. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and safety protocols for handling chemicals and equipment. Communication with nursing staff is key for managing urgent laundry needs, and aides must be able to handle soiled items and maintain confidentiality.
Compensation: $15.00/hr
Part-time: 20 hours per week. Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
