Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Aftermarket Parts Sales Representative to join us during a very exciting phase of growth and transformation. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our B2B customers, providing expert advice and selling aftermarket parts and components they need to keep their operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a technical aptitude and a passion for building lasting B2B customer relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service (Primary Focus):
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and during on-site visits, to identify their parts needs with accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize parts catalogs, databases, and inventory systems to locate and recommend the correct parts.
- Process customer orders, quotes, and invoices with a high degree of accuracy and urgency.
- Proactively identify cross-selling opportunities to maximize sales and provide complete solutions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through exceptional service.
Technical Expertise & Problem-Solving:
- Develop a deep understanding of our product lines and their application in the customer facilities.
- Assist customers and technicians in diagnosing issues and identifying the required replacement parts.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on part compatibility, installation, and usage.
Inventory & Sales Operations:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure key parts are in stock.
- Handle returns and warranty claims according to company policy.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with millwrights, technicians, and other sales team members to ensure quality customer experience.
- Share market feedback and customer insights to help shape sales strategies and inventory decisions.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
3+ years of outside sales or equivalent experience
Outstanding communication, negotiation, listening and closing skills.
Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time.
A self-starter with a strong sales mentality and a drive to achieve and exceed targets.
