Job Description
Precision of New Hampton is seeking an individual to Repair Pallets. This opportunity involves repairing damaged wooden pallets using tools like nail guns, drills/screws and saws, inspecting them for quality, and physically moving them. The role requires strong physical stamina to lift heavy pallets and a focus on safety, as workers must wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Key responsibilities
- Repair and rebuild: Use hand and power tools, such as nail guns, hammers, and saws, to repair and rebuild damaged pallets. This includes removing damaged boards and securing new ones.
Inspection: Examine repaired pallets to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Material handling: Sort, stack, and move wooden pallets by hand or using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts. Manually lift and carry pallets weighing 50–80 pounds or more.
Safety and maintenance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE like safety glasses, ear protection, and gloves. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other Responsibilities: Assist in the Facility Maintenance and Cardboard Recycling
Qualifications and skills
Physical ability: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting (frequently 50-80+ pounds) and working in a fast-paced environment.
Tool proficiency: Experience or aptitude for using hand tools and power tools such as nail guns, saws, and pry bars.
Work ethic: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently to meet production quotas.
Other skills: Good communication skills and willingness to work overtime as needed are frequently mentioned.
