AUTO REPAIR SHOP POSITION (Looking to hire as soon as possible)
Porter/ Shop Support/ Quality Control Technician (QC) – Final Line of Defense
Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience with vehicles and auto repair shops)
No personal tools required for this position
We are an established auto repair shop hiring a Quality Control Technician to be the final line of defense in our company’s quality standards. This position plays a critical role in how repairs are delivered, how our store looks, and how our customers experience our business.
This role is about pride, consistency, speed, safety, and attention to detail.
What this role is responsible for
You will perform digital inspections on every serviced vehicle before it is returned to the customer
You will quality check and test drive every vehicle serviced to ensure repairs were completed correctly, safely, and to our standards
You will perform mini cleans on serviced vehicles before delivery
You will act as shop support, helping keep daily operations moving smoothly
You will run errands as needed, including dropping off and picking up customers, returning cores, and picking up shop supplies
You will perform daily inspections and mini cleans on all loaner vehicles
You will manage the cleanliness, organization, fueling, and basic upkeep of the loaner car fleet
You will clean, organize, and maintain the shop daily, especially during downtime
You may be required to come in early at times to assist with snow plowing and keeping the lot safe and accessible
You will help protect our reputation by catching issues before the customer ever sees the vehicle

What we’re looking for
Automotive experience preferred but not required
You must be fast, detail-oriented, and safety-focused at the same time
Attention to detail is a big plus
Clean driving record required
Strong work ethic and willingness to support the shop wherever needed
Professional attitude and high standards for cleanliness
This is a highly respected position within our auto repair shop. When a QC technician signs off on a vehicle, everyone knows it meets our standards.
