Preschool Teacher Assistant (Full-Time)
Preschool Learning Academy of York (PLAY) – York, NE
The Preschool Learning Academy of York (PLAY) is seeking an Preschool Teacher Assistant who is passionate about early childhood education and helping young children learn through play. Anticipated Start Date: July 2026
(Full-time onboarding and training may be available prior to the end of the school year.)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based learning activities
- Promote children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Assist with child assessments and documentation
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages family engagement and community partnerships
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive classroom environment
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) or other qualifying early childhood credential as required by BVCA Children Services conditions of employment
Schedule
- Full-Time – 36 hours per week
- Monday–Friday
- Off during the summer (approximately mid-May through mid-August)
