What You’ll Do
You’ll be the engine behind the underwriting process—ensuring every file is accurate, complete, and ready for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review incoming loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in credit reports, applications, and financial data
- Perform quality checks on applications, bank statements, and background information
- Research businesses to validate industry classification and risk factors
- Gather, organize, and upload required documentation (e.g., Secretary of State filings, industry reports)
- Prepare files for underwriting review and funding readiness
- Analyze and categorize bank verification and account data
- Escalate complex issues or inconsistencies to Senior Underwriters
- Maintain clear, detailed documentation within internal systems
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a detail-heavy administrative, processing, or financial support role
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based systems
- Strong analytical thinking and sound judgment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in underwriting, loan processing, or financial services
- Familiarity with credit reports, bank statements, and verification processes
- Experience working with compliance-driven or documentation-heavy workflows
- Background collaborating with external partners or vendors
Work Environment
- On-site role based in our Sioux Falls, SD office
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on business needs
